Work starts
Well finally work started, I sprayed the table with a brown primer. Track laying started last, work will continue next week at the local model club in Swansea. The final decision on what will go on it will be decided next week.

The beginning.
The layout Idea came about from a unused round table 60cm which was going to the charity shop but decided to save it for 009 layout. I tossed some ideas around with a few friends of mine at my local model club Swansea railway modellers group and decided to do something a bit freelance but with a Sodor theme. There a limited amount of information about the Mid Sodor railway other than what the Rev W Awdry had written about which apart from one book telling the story of MSR No 1 Duke, and others in 'Duke the lost engine'. It was a shame that there was not more story's about that line. So I decided to do King Orry's Bridge which is the terminus for the Mid Sodor railway in 009 Narrow gauge. The Mid Sodor railway opened in 1874 and closing in 1947.
